Devotion in Motion is an invitation to embodied presence through moving meditation, intuitive dance and the sacred art of whirling.
Movement has the capacity to touch us on many levels — physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. When we move with awareness, something begins to open. The body softens, the breath deepens and energy begins to flow more freely. We become more grounded, alive and at ease within ourselves.
Moving meditation can nourish and restore us, offering a way to listen inwardly and come home to the body. As we follow sensation, rhythm and impulse, we begin to give form to our inner experience, allowing movement to become a natural language of expression. In this space, we can explore with curiosity, connect with our authentic selves, and discover a greater sense of freedom and joy.
And at the heart of Devotion in Motion lies another possibility: movement as devotion. Here, the body becomes an offering beyond the self, a form of prayer — a way of opening the heart, surrendering into something greater and allowing the sacred to be experienced through the body. The body becomes a place where devotion is lived, not merely contemplated.
Devotion in Motion brings together three complementary pathways: Qigong, intuitive dance and Sufi whirling. Rooted in different traditions, each offers its own doorway into embodied presence. Together, they explore the many ways conscious practice can reconnect us with the body, calm the mind, awaken the heart and deepen our relationship with the sacred.
