Information I collect and why
When you book or contact me, I may collect your name, email address, booking and class details, messages you send, and information needed to confirm or manage payment.
I use this information to manage bookings and payments, send confirmations and Zoom details, provide customer support, and keep accounting and payment records as required. I send promotional emails only if you separately choose to receive them; you can unsubscribe at any time.
Service providers and external services
Website and stored information
devotioninmotion.org is hosted by Lovable. Lovable Cloud stores information submitted through the website, including contact messages, event registrations, newsletter signups, paid booking details, and administrator account information. This stored website data is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany. This does not mean that every provider’s access to or processing of information takes place only in the EEA (see “Transfers outside the EEA” below). Website logs may also include technical information such as your IP address and browser type.
Payments
Payments are processed on Stripe’s secure checkout page. Stripe receives the buyer’s name, email address, billing address, and card details. Card numbers are not sent to or stored on this website. The website receives booking and payment confirmation information.
Emails
The website uses Lovable’s email service to send booking confirmations, class information, newsletter welcome emails, and administrator notifications. The service receives the recipient’s email address and the message content.
Online classes
Classes use Zoom. When you follow a Zoom link and join a class, Zoom may process information you provide or share during the meeting, such as your display name, voice, video, and chat messages. Zoom’s privacy policy applies to its processing.
External links
The website may link to Instagram, Facebook event pages, timeanddate.com, or Google Calendar. Following one of these links takes you to that service, which handles your information under its own privacy policy. The website does not send your booking or contact-form information to those services.
Cookies and browser storage
The website does not use analytics or advertising trackers. It stores your cookie-choice preference in your browser’s local storage (not as a cookie), where it remains until you clear your browser storage. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Transfers outside the EEA
Some providers may process or access personal data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States:
- Resend (the provider behind the website’s email service) processes recipients’ email addresses and message content to deliver emails. See Resend’s Data Processing Agreement.
- Stripe processes payment and billing information for checkout. See Stripe’s Data Processing Agreement.
- Zoom processes information you share when you join an online class. See Zoom’s privacy statement and Zoom’s Global Data Processing Addendum.
Where personal data is transferred to the United States, it may rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the receiving company is certified under it, and/or on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, together with any additional safeguards described in that provider’s data processing terms. The mechanism used depends on the provider and the transfer. Each provider’s current privacy and data processing terms describe the safeguards it uses.
How long information is kept
Booking and payment records are kept for 8 years, as Hungarian accounting rules require. Newsletter signups are kept until you unsubscribe. Every promotional email sent by this website includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing through it stops promotional emails sent by this website. When you unsubscribe, only your email address and the date you unsubscribed are kept, so that you are not emailed again. Unsubscribing does not stop emails needed for classes you have booked. Other information is kept only as long as needed for its purpose, unless a longer period is required by law.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may be able to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, and object to or restrict some uses. You can withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Use the contact page to make a request. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
